August 8, 2015

Greetings Neighbors:

We are writing to you on behalf of the MIRCC Board of Directors to update you about the new access software for the gate to Canyon Falls Bridge. MIRCC has negotiated access agreements with the owners of the private road we use for ingress/egress but one of the conditions of use is that we limit access to MIR property owners in Blocks B, C and E. With this in mind, Pro-Comm recently installed new security cameras, DoorKing access software and a card reader to replace the old digital keypad. The new system is up and running now so the old code numbers will be disabled soon.

MIRCC purchased enough of the white access cards to provide one free of charge to each property owner. If you have a second vehicle in your family an additional access card may be requested for a $10 deposit. Deposits are refundable for items returned in good working order but lost/stolen devices can only be replaced at owner's expense.

Cards are simple to use, just roll down your window and swipe it at the reader on the post to open the gate. But if you come and go often in rainy weather you might want to consider a remote access clicker instead; they're as small and convenient as the key fob for your car, just click on the go and you can even close the gate immediately behind you. Clickers are available for $30/deposit each but please limit your request to maximum two items per owner.

Each access device has its own unique tracking code and should only be shared with your family and invited guests. Temporary manual key codes may be available for special events with adequate advance notice, usually within 48 hours. Emergency services and commercial delivery vehicles will continue to have unintenupted access too.

To ensure your uninterrupted access and make sure you get your new cards promptly please mark your choice on the enclosed form and return in the envelope provided along with your check for any deposits payable to MIRCC. Or if you are in the neighborhood bring your deposit check and stop by Mark & Bonny Haenlein's log house at 51229 South Riverside Road.

If you have any questions or concerns or have special access needs please email mircc@mountindexriversites.com or call Earl at 206-300-9800 or Mark at 206-940-8855.
