Collections Update / Legal (Gary Johnson)
The Executive Committee serving as the Collections Committee is scheduled to meet on September 13th to review active cases and discuss next steps.
Gary Johnson reported that MIRCC has received a check for $9574.02 with the closing of the Gregory Parks estate account. The total paid to MIRCC will be $22,026.73, since another check for the balance of $12,458 was already sent to MIRCC. MIRCC opened probate when no next of kin could be found after Mr. Parks died..
The Powelsons reached out to MIRCC. They bought the Gerend and Grenfell properties on the north side of the river, north of the new bridge and upstream of it. They also own the road and they own most of the beach at Canyon Falls. Earlier this year, MIRCC negotiated and purchased an easement from them. They reached out recently, concerned about some of the behavior at the beach below Canyon Falls. We agreed to help them convene a committee to discuss beach area management options.
Gary noted that property owners occasionally need to trench across MIRCC owned roads for laying water and septic lines. Gary suggested that the board adopt a policy to ensure that such work is done property.
Negotiations with CFHOA have stalled, but their president recently responded.
Roads Upstream (Dave MacFarlane)
Paul will need to do ditching this fall. Paul is putting in an order of lumber to fix approaches to the railroad bridge. He is revamping the flashing lights and buzzer on the green gate. There is a culvert on that section that needs to be changed because it is eroding on both sides and is on an access road.
Green Gate (Mark Bollman)
No news about the green gate
Roads Downstream (Mat Williams)
Mat is not here today. Andrea asked when someone could come down and work on the potholes and washboards on the Forest Service road after exiting Route 2.
