Board of Directors Meeting
Board members present: Mark Bollman, Carrie Byrne, Brent Corey, Lora Cox, Kathleen EckartLove, Michelle Griffin, CJ Holmes, Gary Johnson, Don Larsen, Dave MacFarlane, Earl Van Buskirk

Call To Order: Mark Bollman called the meeting to order at 9:10 AM.
Announcements
There was no meeting in August so we have two months of business to cover today.
Committee Reports and Information
Executive Committee Report
Executive Committee members include the corporation’s president, vice president, treasurer and secretary. We continue to work well with Inslee Best on collection efforts and SLK Accounting is doing a great job managing QuickBooks for us. Special efforts since our last board meeting have included securing loans from our neighbors so we can consider purchasing the road that provides access to Canyon Falls. We also worked with Harmsen Associates to survey a portion of the Mt. Index Road in A-Section.
Budget & Finance Status Report
Earl Van Buskirk shared the preliminary September financial statement. Following is a summary of the finances as of August 31, 2019.

Collections
We are moving ahead on collections. The attorneys are working on several cases. The board will go into Executive Session after the meeting to discuss individual details.
Legal/Ethics/Bylaws
Gary reported that the small claims court case where a resident claimed discrimination by MIRCC was dismissed with prejudice.
E-Section Roads
Dave MacFarlane talked to Paul on his way to the meeting. Paul is going to grade the roads because we’ve gotten rain. He is going to brush the access road.
A-Section and USFS 6020 Roads
Mat Williams is not here today. CJ stated that Guy has worked on the roads, and has taken out most of the washboards. Brent said that MIR and the Forest Service worked well recently with the “motor home incident”. A motor home was parked on the Forest Service road before the community gate and then subsequently it collided with a tree over the edge of the road.
CJ said that part of the road was surveyed with the thought that, if the road eventually gets paved, we will need to know the legal boundaries.

Discussion Topics
Kristin’s fence. Earl stated that Kristin’s survey was validated by the subsequent survey that MIR had done to determine legal boundaries around the yellow gate. Kristin has submitted pictures of the fence that MIR asked her to take down. The Exec Com will meet after the regular meeting to discuss this in more detail.
Red Ford Explorer. Linsey Budden stated that a Red Ford Explorer that does not run is blocking access to her property. She cannot get her trailer onto her property.
Shooting in MIR. Lora Reported that there is no shooting within MIR. The County has a “no shooting” map and all of MIR is contained within it. If you know of someone who is shooting within MIR, call 911 but also let the dispatchers know that you are not reporting an emergency.
